The Seasons of Magic Cycle
is a year-round series of 8 programs that celebrate Solstices, Equinoxes and Cross-Quarter Holidays, blending Science and Spirituality in a unique partnership of Practical Spiritual Magic that ignites our own conscious healing and evolution as we travel together around the Wheel of the Year.
Each of the 8 programs has "its central holiday along with other symbols or correspondences that create a network of patterns to help us work with the energies of each season for our own greatest well-being and in harmony with Nature... Each season’s theme offers us a focus for our own growth that can mirror the progress of the year. They include introspection and interaction with the world through suggested exercises, prompts, challenges, meditations and other activities... "

EMERGING
is the second program of 2018, following Opening Your Gifts. EMERGING spans the 6-week period from March 1 to April 11, including Ostara, or Spring Equinox. During this time I'll be posting daily support in the Facebook virtual circle and adding blog posts right here on this site. Four live programs will take place on Wednesdays in March. Reiki & Personal Guidance sessions can begin any time and continue after this 6-week period. The Seasons of Magic Cycle programs can overlap in your practice, and you can work with any of the published programs at any time of year, for they represent cycles within cycles.

In-person & Distance Reiki in a Nutshell:
The Johns Hopkins Integrative Medicine & Digestive Center describes in-person and distance Reiki as "a very specific form of energy healing, in which hands are placed just off the body or lightly touching the body, as in 'laying on of hands.' Reiki can also be done 'long-distance,' as a form of prayer. In a Reiki session, the practitioner is seeking to transmit Universal Life Energy to the client. The intention is to create deep relaxation, to help speed healing, reduce pain, and decrease other symptoms you may be experiencing."

What is wanting to emerge?
Hello, I'm Dawn Hancy,
Reiki Master and founder of Essential Arts Reiki.
One of my greatest joys is seeing people light up with wonder when they first experience the sublime sensation of Reiki energy, another is synergistically supporting people in their healing and personal evolution as they discover the magic and miracles within, and still another is connecting people I know who can mutually benefit one another. I am so excited to be able to do all three of those things right now in service to an even greater dream of mine: transforming our world by awakening the natural healing and power that live within each of us - and I can think of no better moment than this to embrace that challenge!
I have been studying and practicing Usui Reiki since 2009, and I continue to learn more every day from other members of the Reiki community, books, websites, events, my clients and my own self-healing practice. I am a member of the Vermont Reiki Association and Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals. I look forward to completing my teacher training in 2018.

I am also a volunteer chaplain and Reiki provider at Gifford Medical Center; a Reiki and advocacy volunteer at WISE, a domestic and sexual violence center; and a Reiki hospice volunteer with Bayada. With Eliza Meeker of HitsuZen, I have recently founded Integrated Community Resilience, a partnership that brings powerful and gentle wellness support systems such as Reiki, mindfulness, qi gong and Chinese Energetic Medicine into the community through programs that especially benefit marginalized populations and their support providers.
Here are a few more quick details about me. I am formerly a librarian and home school mom, small-scale farmer and food producer, choral singer and community organizer. I offer a free camp workshop each summer called Horse Sense where kids learn to use all six senses to safely enjoy being with horses, including those who have been rescued from abuse and neglect, retired race horses, and working horses. I regularly attend and present at Vision of Light Church of Spiritualism and Healing, and I've found spiritual community at various times in Unitarian Universalist congregations, Wiccan and Druid circles, Christian churches, Buddhist gatherings, and interfaith Earth ministry. Some of my current mentors and influences are Starhawk of Earth Activist Training, Elayne Kalila Doughty of Priestess Presence, Kaia Ra of the Sophia Code, Matt Kahn of True Divine Nature, Dharma J Pugliese of the Holistic School of Business, and Darla LeDoux of Aligned Entrepreneurs.

What kind of Personal Guidance do you offer?
My joy is supporting your greatest well-being and cultivation of your Greater Intelligence. Together we will identify your wellness objectives and life intentions, along with some activities, choices and perspectives that can support your desired outcomes and experiences. These can include meditation, visualization and affirmations, spiritual practices and rituals, strategies for responding to challenging situations, breathing and movement, resource recommendations and more, tailored to your needs, desires and abilities, based on the EMERGING GUIDEBOOK and more, in a personalized mental, physical, emotional and spiritual balance.
Do I need any meditation experience, a vegetarian diet or other specific wellness practices?​
Not at all. Anyone can either begin or advance their wellness practices at any time. We will customize our work together to suit your goals and abilities, and I don't require you to eat as I eat or practice as I practice. I'm here to support you in your unique way of well-being.
Do I need to follow any particular spiritual path or religion?​
It is entirely up to you. You are not required to belong to any tradition or group, though you certainly may. This work can enhance, deepen and clarify your spiritual path. You can consider this a spiritual path, create your own, and join with others who find ourselves together out there beyond the bounds of religion, even if we belong to religious communities or practice traditional paths. ESSEntiAL ARtS is a welcoming hub where the Essence of all paths meet and celebrate.
Can you guarantee my results?​
You are the one directing your experience and I will support you with Reiki healing energy and personal guidance, but I cannot choose or predict your outcomes, nor would this be ethical. I respect your free will and the innate wisdom of your body and your being. We co-create this program together with the shared intention of your greatest well-being, and I trust you completely to be capable and responsible for directing your own healing and growth.​
Do I need to pay the entire cost at once or can I pay in installments?
You are welcome to enroll for a single 6-week Seasons of Magic session or an Annual Subscription. These are the only payment options available through ESSEntiAL ARtS at this time, though Paypal does offer a credit option with no payments for 6 months.
Are there any refund options?​
Refunds are not available for these packages, though you can re-schedule your individual sessions if you notify me of changes at least 24 hours in advance.
