Meet Your Teachers
Dawn Hancy
Reiki Master Teacher, Founder & Dean of the Essential Arts Institute
My passion is seeing people awaken to their healing journey and realize their true power to help others.

I'm dedicated to not only teaching Reiki, but helping all Essential Arts students, teachers, team and community members cultivate their unique, satisfying and successful Reiki Path for optimal wellness and success.

Since I started teaching in 2017, I've been developing the Essential Arts curriculum based on my research and observations, my own practice and Essential Arts students and teachers. Every time we teach the foundational courses: Bring Reiki to Life, Sharing Reiki with Clarity & Confidence, Find Your Reiki Path, Expand Your Reiki Horizons, and Reiki Mastery, we update them as we keep learning and responding to the needs of our students and community. IHEART includes all these and more, taught in 2027 by two Reiki Master Teachers who are excited to nurture this cohort through the whole year with me.

I practice what I teach, starting and ending every day with Reiki self-healing, and using Reiki to guide and support me throughout my life, and I never stop learning.
